Going to be hard to hunt in jail....

Depends.... on how much time you can devote. A couple weekends and a week long season.... Prob never. Taking 30 days scouting and 30 days hunting. Prob 1 every few years.

In my "unscientific" observations I think brighter the night = less day time animal activity. Where your tag is a rut hunt I wouldn't think it would make much difference.

I have been shooting the Wac em's the last couple years. They fly just like my field points to 70 yards. Killed both animals I have hit with them. Good Penetration.

I grew up hunting with horses, and I prefer to hunt on foot. They sure make packing a camp in and an animal out easier though. I had to drag a lama 8 miles into the unitas one time. That wasn't very fun either. Without em, we wouldn't have been able to pack the goat out all in one trip though.

This time of year its about the same odds you will find bucks herded up with does or just bucks. They are on the winter range and are where the food is. This warm year has deer spread out more than usual though.

I just got the g5 xr. Haven't mounted it yet, but it seemed like the best option for this type of thing.

I have a badlands bino case and i put my range finder case on the "lower" chest strap. So it rides right next to my bino case. When I bow hunt I have it on my left side and rifle on my right. I shoot a bow left handed.

That is my dream!

Just hit them right. I have killed plenty of elk with 130 gr 270.

Lots of girzzlies. There are lots of elk though. Not the giant bulls of the past though.

My breach plug on my TC has been fine. Make sure the hole is clean. Also, people say to use a standard 209 primer. I haven't tried muzzy primers with my 209 (just switched this year and bought new ones) but so far so good.

There isn't much ice right now. But probably enough for burbot. Fish in rocky areas next to cliffs. They can be found at pretty much any depth. Shallower at night. They are very tasty. I don't think they taste like lobster, but they are good. There isn't very much meat on them though. Only the...

I agree with what BT said. The unit used to be lots better. The wolves are really hurting it. I wouldn't be too picky for what you are holding out for.

i was thinking more in the traditional method. And my bear is black... so im not sure how that would work....

Where is a good place around Orem or SLC to get a bear hide tanned? (no rug) What can I expect to pay?
