Missoula's great if the weirdos don't bother you. If they do then there's lots of great areas that are more Montana and a short commute to Missoula. Lots of great hunting and fishing in that part of the state though.

I killed a good one opening morning, and my brother got a nice one Sunday. He's still out there trying to get his wife on one. Our group got really lucky and drew 3/4 buck tags in 700. Seemed like way less hunters out with the tag numbers being lowered.

Lots of areas you can't hunt with the general tag, you definitely need to do the homework on where you can and can't.

They can definitely get pushed up in to some holes. A couple years ago we killed a buck down there in an adjacent unit at 8400 feet in some rock bluffs.
