LAST EDITED ON Aug-23-12 AT 10:10PM (MST)[p]Has anyone considered that Colorado just has better hunters? I read the complaints from you guys all of the time, yet my group has good opportunity and success on a general deer tag in Utah every year. This may get things going! Enjoy
My brother lost his GPS last Sundayish. He went back this weekend and could not find it and assumes it may have been picked up. It is the new radio/GPS and only has a few waypoints marked. I am sure he will offer some sort of a reward, but it would be nice to have it returned. Any helps...
I like a few of those average bulls. You should see some of our average bulls in Colorado! Looks like the wind could have a huge impact on the fire! Let's hope that thos eon the ground and the air are prepared for this. Any new info on the fire is appreciated.
I am in the same boat. Very excited about drawing the 15 tag, but quite worried about the fire. If anyone has any info on where things are at I would appeciate it.
Has anyone heard what the potential impact this fire could or will have on unti 15? I also drew this tag for the late muzzleloader hunt and am hoping it will still be a good hunt...What is the best website to folow this on?
I currently have a Nikon D80 camera and will be buying the nikon ed50 spotting scope in the very near future. i am sure this is not the "ideal" scope for digiscoping, but i am getting it for backpacking and would like to take some decent photos with it. What is the best adapter to use and what...
Not dying to sell, but putting the house on the market and would help to declutter the garage. I have mostly elk, which have mainly hard whites, a handful of browns and some deer. I am located in grand junction.
I would like to know what mapping software all of you use and why...Taking into consideration; everything from accuracy, ability to download to the GPS, any possible overlays, private porperty, cost, one state vs. nationwide, etc. Thanks
I am hoping to find a good/excellent spotting scope (brand) that has the ability to have a DSLR directly attach to it. I do not think that Swarovski offers this...Any help is appreciated.

You should be very proud of yourself there "coloradoboy". Why even reply if you are just going to be rude to the kid? I hope you feel better about yourself.
Have you shot any of the other new bows or by chance the Swithback XT? My buddy has some concerns that it would have a rough draw cycle like that of the Monster...which i have not heard good things about. Thanks
I am searching for a new bow and i have been shooting the switchback XT for years and do not want to lose the forgiveness of this bow, but would enjoy some more speed. I shoot 70lbs at 28.5" draw. I beleive i have narrowed it down to The Mathews Z7 and the Fred Bear Attack from what I have...
I am reading all of these posts about September being awful and now you have me worried that my late October deer tag in unit 51 may have been a mistake....any feedback would be appreciated. I guess i can just herd them down early on my way from CO!
I drew a unit 51 deer tag for late October. I know nothing about the are other than reading there is some higher country with potential for good deer. I have ordered my maps and unfortunately will have to do the majority of my scouting via maps and google earth. I am wondering if there are any...
"Justin"
Sounds like you are throwing some stones there "Justin". I am sure you have never missed!
Hey "thepenquin"
Quit swinging off of "Justin's" cow bells. We are here to talk about hunting, not to prepare for Broke Back Mountain. Hehe gals. How cute
I would be very interested in hearing how all of you do. I drew a third season bull tag along with a bear tag for September. (figured I would get some scouting done and maybe shoot a bear). If anyone has any experience with the 3rd season hunt I would like to hear about it.
I have been looking up the archived messages and happen to be bow hunting in area 60 for deer this year and will also be hunting 3rg season in area 61 for elk. Any advice? I am rather familiar with the northrn portion of 61, but have not been too far south. We spotted a few decent bulls during...
Anyone ever had this tag? I drew it because of the easy odds and the hope that there may be a few good deer in the area. I have read that the landowners often claim public is private, but short of this have not heard much. Any sugeestions on where to begin scouting would be apprecitated.

I am wondering if there is anyone who has hunted the 3rd season in unti 61. I have some areas in mind, but am only familiar with the north side of the unit and need to be prepared for a variety of weather conditions. Any help is greatly appreciated as I intend to be up there doing a lot of...
