what are everyones thoughts on the area in the Gila over this area? Better? I've been up there but it's so thick it's nearly impossible to glass...at least where I was at (4 areas).

arronjo, FYI there is now a bypass for the locked gate. You can get all the way to the top on public road.

I was glassing 16b with another bow hunter by the dwellings. Give me a call and I'll fill you in.

Download version can be installed on as many PCs as you want plus its stored on their website with your password. So you can't ever lose it or damage it. If you forget your pc you can just download it on another. And once you do you don't need internet service.

I saw some burn area but that was old. That general area should have got good rain though. I will be up there 2-3 more times and plan on checking those areas out. Are you still gonna hunt unit 24?

gpshuntingmaps.com is who I bought and real happy with. I bought the download and you can run 2 units off that and print maps plus you don't have to be connected in order to work on it.

Also...been there twice in the last month and got rain every day o was there (4 days)

I wouldn't doubt it and I'll call another office. I need a smiley banging my head on the wall. So blm and Forrest is ok?

I just talked to the GW a few days ago and asked the same question. He said you can camp anywhere as long as it's not private or closer than 300 yards from a water source including man made tanks.

heck, just camp out near the area. you can stay on any blm, state or fsps as long as your not within 300 yards of a watering hole. It will make the experience all that much more special for her.
