They all taste great to me but a sheep tops then all. I also cut all my meat. I would never take my animals to a butcher, espcially with some of the crap I've seen guys hauling around.

I have to disagree on the elk numbers. The trends I've noticed are more elk and less deer. I can't say that for all Oregon, but what I've seen is more elk. I think there are a ton of reasons for lower success. Pressure for sure is one as well as hunters educating elk with calling. Riding around...

I have always shot for the heart/lung. Seems to have worked for me so far. What ever works for each guy I suppose. I guess if your not familiar with the anatomy of an elk the shoulder area would be a good choice.

My vote goes to ATV's for sure. And I would speculate that more than 10% of atv users are misusing public land. I see it every year and they do leave a long lasting mark. My second vote would go to the damn wild horses. They eat to the ground and tromp down everything. Round em' up and make...

I've always shot the fail safe. Awesome bullet. Still have a box of 165's. I've used for both deer and elk with great results. Not sure what bullet I'm going to shoot when I run out. I was thinking the barnes or maybe winchesters fail safe replacement.

You can carry one here in Oregon during bow season. Was defeated in court a couple years back. Don't carry one if ya don't want.

Sounds like a membership drive too me. Maybe some of that is true, who knows. Thats great to have conservation groups targeting each other. All I know is the NRA has done alot to protect the second ammendment.

I've used the alaska bags for years and they seem to work and they breath. When your done with them just throw them in the wash and there ready to go again. I do have some of the big heavy bags but prefer the alaska bags.

I always pack my .45! Not only do I feel more comfortable with it while archery hunting it is also my right to carry a firearm. Maybe I would miss a cougar or maybe not I will hopefully never have to find out. I don't like the spray for the fact that if the wind is in your face your screwed...

I have the snipe pod but is mor restrictive imo than the stoney point. My snipe pod sits on the shelf now and I keep my stoney point in my pack. I don't depend on a bipod, but they are handy in the right situation.
