I was hunting in the LaSal Mountains near Moab Sept. 27 and lost a CVA muzzleloader off the tailgate of my truck near Hidden Lake. If anyone happened to pick it up, I'd love to have it back. I can provide an exact description.

Not sure what you would consider a monster if that isn't it. It would certainly be a monster by my standards.

Any areas with cheatgrass, steep hillsides and rocky slopes are good places to start.

As long as there is no gate and you remain in your vehicle as you drive across the private land, there should not be an issue.

I did mine in 2012 after an elk hunt where I simply could not move well enough to chase the elk. The new knee is great. I can do a lot more hiking now and the knee is not an issue. It is not a fun surgery, though.

There are not many units that are easy to draw anymore if they have accessible public land. There are some units around Casper that you can draw about every other year that have decent access. Some areas (like 25) appear to have good amounts of public land but much of it is inaccessible...
