    Graduation Whitetail Hunt

You may want to look at region Y, over by Kaycee. There are a lot of whitetails around there, but you'll probably find most of them down on the private land. With that being said, you can probably get access for a modest fee if you do a little research.

    Thoughts on Leica Duovid Binoculars

So, I'm strongly considering finally dropping the coin on some good glass. I've been thinking about getting 8x binoculars, but I'd really like to be able to have the extra power if need be. I do have a spotting scope, but it would sure be nice to have the extra power in my hands. Any thoughts on...

    Unit 51 deer

I drew the same tag, so any help that could be passed along would be much appreciated. I grew up in Idaho and now live in Wyoming, but I never hunted 51. Usually hunted to the southeast or east. I would be happy to share what I know about Wyoming, but I don't know much. Only been here for a few...

    RESULTS ARE HERE

Drew 51-1 Muzzy Deer and area 49 elk as a non-resident. Wasn't expecting to, especially after mostly striking out in my home state of Wyoming. Pretty excited!

    Leftover Antelope License Procedure

You might want to look at area 72. It's not far from 73 and even though there is a lot of private land, you can find places to go. There were some doe antelope tags left over there last year. I didn't pick one up, but I had a buck tag there and shot one on opening day by about 8 a.m.

    10/22 Heavy Barrels

Green Mountain makes a great barrel for a reasonable price. If you are looking for something lighter Whistlepig and Tacsol make some excellent aluminum barrels. Whatever you do stay away from the Butler Creek Carbon Fiber barrels. I have heard a lot of bad reports about them. Their steel...

    Minnesota Whiteys

We got quite a bit of snow this year, and it got pretty darn cold for a while, but I think that the really bad weather is pretty much over. It's starting to green up here already, but I won't be here this fall to see how fat the deer get because I'm moving to Texas this summer. Hopefully I'll be...

    Minnesota Whiteys

I was able to find a few raggedy looking deer on the way home from school today and I happened to have my camera with me. Here is one of the better shots I got before they bolted. Enjoy!

    light weight tripod

You might want to look at one of these http://www.joby.com/gp3.html I just ordered one and haven't received it yet, but it's very light and looks like it would work well. (They are also only about $50).

    Which camera?

Howdy all, My wife and I are thinking about getting a new digital camera for photos of the kids etc. (and I want to use it to take some pictures of wildlife). We don't have a lot of money to spend. Right now we are considering the Canon S2 or S3 or the Panasonic DMC-FZ7. What do you think? Is...

    Big Bodied Bucks

Here's the biggest deer I ever shot. Shot him on a late hunt in central Idaho 2006. Not a very big rack, but a pretty big body. Any estimates on how big he was? I never got him weighed, but would be interested in knowing approximately how big he was.

    What should i do???

Go to college and play ball if you have the opportunity. Work on general education credits (it will probably take you a year or two to finish them) while you figure out what you want to do. If you want to travel, do so in the summer or do study abroad. Once you start, don't quit. The...

    Favorite Book?

Where the Red Fern Grows All Calvin and Hobbes books Anything by Patrick McManus "Dies the Fire" by S.M. Stirling (This book is basically one man's vision of what would happen to the world if suddenly everything electrical stopped working and gunpowder ceased to work. Interesting read.) If...
