Ranchland Outfitters in Elk Point Alberta. Just got back about 6 weeks ago. Just amazing seeing 10K geese flying over head in the morning. Rob and his guys work their butts off to get you on geese.
Drew a tag in 2010 and took him with one shot at 325 yards. Placed the bullet right behind the shoulder (heart shot). He ran about 10 feet and fell over. It was a 300 Win Mag and a 200 grain Nosler Accubond.

Kudu, black wildebeest, blesbok, impala, 5 springbok (3 common, 1 copper, 1 black), ostrich
Junction Valley CWMU worth burning 9 points on? DWR called me and said the tag is mine if I want it. Talked to the operator not sure I want to burn 9 points which is not many on a 300 class elk.
+2 on the 200 grain Accubond. Over 73 grains of RL22 getting 3060fps from my 26" Remmy and 2960 with my 23 5/8" Sako. Both shoot Sub MOA groups. With this load I have put a Moose, mule deer, and countless antelope in the dirt.
LAST EDITED ON Mar-13-15 AT 10:25AM (MST)[p]I attended a hunting expo yesterday and got talking about Oryx hunts in New Mexico which I pretty much given up on being a non-resident. He said if I go under contract with an outfitter my chances of drawing on range hunt increase to around 20%...
I have got one in .30-06. I like it. It shoots nice tight groups hovering around .75 moa. A little harder to shoot off hand than a heavier rifle. If you do a lot of hiking you will not even notice it is there. My only other gripe is I tend to chew my thumb up loading it with the supplied tally...
If brains where dynomite I believe most anti's would not have enough to blow thier noses.

LAST EDITED ON Apr-08-14 AT 01:45PM (MST)[p]I got one and love it. Best group to date was .688". Most hover around .75 moa. I have only shot 180 grain bullets out of it though. Nice to pack, not as easy to shoot as good as a heavier rifle off hand.
The sharp edges on the magazine are also annoying. And the bolt configuration requires you to install high rings for the scope so the bolt clears the the scope. I like the cartridge and the rifle is accurate, but in hindsight I should have waited for Savage to come out with the C-Mag or B-Mag...
Bought a Savage B-Mag a couple of months ago. Sighted it in. Put 5 shots in a target under an inch from a bipod off the ground. Not real fond of the B-Mag ##### on closing. I caught myself trying to close the bolt before it was all the way forward a few times. Its accurate. I know what the 17...
LAST EDITED ON Mar-25-14 AT 10:55AM (MST)[p]Good for NM residents. But I am glad I did not put in for Oryx again this year. Not going to bother next year either or ever. I guess If hunt another Oryx I will have to spend money in Africa again to do so. Too bad Oryx is better than beef.

Unfortunately Guy Mulberg Passed away last summer. He was a really good gunsmith.
Thanks for the laugh man I am still cleaning tears out of my keyboard.
Reminds me of the time I learned not to give a blacktail jack rabbit the coup de gras with a 12 gauge from close range. I was a young and stupid college freshman with only beginning physics under my belt. I thought naturally...
