Thank you. I'm actually in the process of giving it a thorough cleaning now and will be sure to clean the throat. I've read online that some rifles shoot better with what I would consider a heavily fouled barrel. My barrel had probably 20 to 30 rounds through it since the last cleaning.

I agree, go hunt it. One of the best units in the state on a year with a ton of moisture. You?d be crazy to turn that tag in, even if it is the late tag.

I have one of the newer models. I think it's the React Trio Pro. Much better than the base model. I would recommend getting the pro version. I would recommend the sight.

I would say we typically hunt above 5,000?, sometimes up to 9,000? depending on what we are hunting. I didn't realize elevation would affect spin stabilization. Does it have to do with air density?

I think the Nosler 48 rifle has a 1-9? twist on a 26? barrel. Do you think that will be enough to stabilize those bullets?

Thanks everyone. I just bought a couple boxes and will try them out. If my rifle likes them, I'll probably stick with them and sell the Nosler Accubonds. If not, I'm sure being 28 Nosler, I won't have a problem selling them and getting some of my money back.

Anybody have experience with this ammo? I'm currently shooting Nosler Custom ammo with Accubonds but wouldn't mind trying the Hornady Precision ammo considering it's 35% less expensive.

Have any of you guys noticed any affected antler growth from the drought?

I'm assuming you drew the early rifle tag. If you are seeing bucks, I would stick to that area. Don?t be afraid to check lower elevation areas that are remote with water nearby

Welcome to the forum. For the archery hunt, I would recommend getting as much elevation as possible near water.

I like the new laws in both AZ and NV. It will be interesting to see how it affects the guides in harvesting big animals.

Most people believe 161-164 has better quality bucks.

I load the 180 grain Accubonds for my 300 WM and tried switching to the e-tips because of the slightly better ballistic coefficient. I could not get consistent groups with the e-tips and switched back to the Accubonds.
