Hey folks, me and a buddy are looking for a good outfitter for a elk/deer combo hunt and I'm sick of waiting to draw a good tag out west. Any good recommendations/references would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rick

Thanks JBJ. South of Blacksburg/Radford. Been hunting VA mountains most my life but did spend 12 years out in UT and loved chasing elk. Hoping for a good mule deer tag out there one of these days.

Thanks guys. These bigguns are few and far between in VA mountains but they're there. I've killed some good ones but that's my biggest and only took 33 years to get him!

Great Deer and fantastic mount tx! If you don't mind me asking I'd like to know what form you used for that mount? I shot a big mature white tail this year in VA with about the same size neck and I'd like to do a similar mount. Thanks in advance! Rick

Ha! I know how you feel! I drew a LE elk tag in UT with 0 points back in 08. Certainly feels like winning the lotto! Took a small bull (6x6 <300") but one of my most memorable trophies. I put in for 45 special with 6 points this year so it's kind of a coin flip. Good luck to you as well...

Hey folks, been hunting out west for the last 10 years based out of UT but moved back home to VA this spring. I can't tell you how many whitetails I've missed hunting in the trees/funnels trying to catch them moving from feeding areas to bedding areas while trying to get one eye dialed in...

Thanks for the comments folks! This was one one the biggest bucks we'd seen and after a little belly crawling I was lucky enough to get in on him. Again, just an awesome hunt!
