.38 special question

Not too smart a move for a couple reasons. A .380 bullet is smaller than a .38 Spec., thus won't properly engage the rifling resulting inpoor accuracy.

Secons, the .380 case is rimless while the .38 has a rim. So the .380 round will get too far into the chamber where the firing pin won't hit the primer. Of course, you could hold the barrel pointed upward to avoid this. That would mean your target is somewhere directly above you.

Lastly, if you do get it to fire, the .380 case will likely rupture because of the excessive pressure generated.
