Tony, thanks for the input and sorry for the slight in not mentioning you as a co-author when referencing Your Authorative Book. JB my interest in getting a good buck is not about competition , at least not with any fellow hunter. Perhaps competition self imposed. I have been hunting for many years. Over the years I have taken enough game such that my sucess is not measured by harvest but by many other things. I would not consider myself a true trophy hunter, however I do try to exercise a degree of disicipline, and not take something that is smaller that what I have already taken. Years ago a good friend of mind finally got it through my thick skull that you will never shoot the big bucks if you always shoot the small ones. As a result, my hunts now, more often than not, result in me not harvesting. This self imposed "restriction" makes the reward of whenever I do harvest just that much more rewarding. However that does not mean I don't have fun when I do not harvest. I truly enjoy all of my hunts. Sharing my experiences with fellow dedicated hunters, being out doors, testing my skills, just hunting itself, regardless of whether I harvest, all make each hunt fun and enjoyable.
Anyway, I know this is a special tag. I just was thinking I wanted to exercise disicipline, and not take the opportuniy I have been given for granted. And Tony, I gave my wife a very special 50th Birthday party last year, so she is returning the favor this year. I do not usually get something like this for a gift.
