This year, in my AZ 13B archery deer hunt, there were 3 blinds set up by the local outfitter on waterholes well before the season. It actually makes sense as the deer have time to get used to them. I drove by one of these on day 2 at about 5 pm, and a hand came out of the blind. I left that area alone and kept driving. I wanted to sit that site, and 8 days into the season, there client was tagged out on a beautiful 200+ inch buck. I knew they weren't sitting it as I ran into the client, and, I sat on a hill and watched an absolute giant water at the site. So, I threw my blind up. First morning, at about 9:30, a guide came by to take down their blind. He didn't know I was sitting it, and was very apologetic about the encounter. I said "You just gave me an excuse to get out a half an hour early". We both laughed, and I helped him take down the blind. I set mine up where theirs was, and ended up killing a 32" deer the next morning. Point is, if you approach them BEFORE a potentially bad encounter, be reasonable, talk to the owner of the blind, there shouldn't be any problems. In my case, I knew they weren't using it as NOBODY would pass the deer I saw on it, and although I didn't contact them before the hunt, I didn't go near the site until I knew it wouldn't screw up somebodies hunt. After I shot my buck, I went to their camp as I had pushed my buck on the retrieval, and I wanted to review the footage, and my sd card reader didn't work on my computer. They congratulated me, fed me, and we watched the excellent footage. Everyone agreed it was a fatal shot and I retrieved my buck the next morning.
