Hello Men, I've been reading your thoughts on 36a and just wanted to chime in and tell you a little about what I know to be true. I actually live in Green Valley and have hunted 36a or B for the last 10 yrs for coues, muleys, and javalina.
A few answers to your questions are , Yes its always HOT, doesnt matter what time of the yr. it is. Even in Jan and Feb you start out in the morning before daylight wearing a nice jacket and layers of warm clothes and by the time the sun comes up and you've walked a ways the coat and the layers start coming off. Unless of course you hit it lucky and a freak rain cloud happens to blow over the spot your standing in .
Yes there are always snakes, spiders, and flies.
Yes there are lenty of illegals, so dont leave anything out at your camp that you dont want to lose. It might help if you have a dog that can be left there to guard things.
Yes there are is game, but there are a lot more does than bucks and they are very wary to say the least. There are so many illegals, and others running around down here that the deer have learned to be wary of anything remotely human. So bring good optics, use them a lot and be ready to stalk your game after you spot them .
practice long range shots. you may need to take one.
Its a good area to hunt or I wouldnt have hunted it for so long but you do have to be prepared for everything all the time. If you have questions about any thing specific send me a Pm and I'll help you out.
