Did you shoot a bull in Unit 28?

Just wondering if you guys know anybody who shot a nice bull over a wallow in unit 28. If so, could you send me a pm. I had been hunting a nice bull then found the remains of one that look like he was shot with a bow. Would love to compare notes and hopefully see some pictures to see if it's...

Thanks guys. That's about what I figured. I'd be surprised if he hit 30". I was thinking around 28". I'll check if he gives me an opportunity.

    Another how wide? Thread

How wide is this buck. He doesn't have much else going for him, but he's the widest buck I've seen while hunting.

    Picture Stealing

Have you guys had people take your pictures and post them to their websites or send them in to other websites? I didn't think that people were that lame, but after doing some research, I have found my pictures on a bunch of sites, with my name and info. For Real? Guess that will teach me to...

These guys have their heads on straight. It's about time we get somebody on TV who my daughter can look up to. Every time I read more about these guys, I'm more impressed.

    G5!!

I was told the same thing and didn't even think about it until half way through my shooting session. I didn't pay any attention to that, so I doubt they are in line. the only one I checked was not. So maybe they just like my setup, I don't know.

    G5!!

Man I love these things! 10 days away from the season opener, and I decided to try a new head. After hearing bad reviews about the flight of G5's, I'd always been skeptical. Bought a pack this week, and am now shooting 3" circles at 70 yds!! Can't wait to let one fly!

    Monster Muleys Drama!

Thank you. Finally a good post on here. I'm not even going to read all the debate in response to it, but growing up in PA, it is a hunter's paradise living in the west. I love every minute of it and am thankful to have the opportunity. I also do not spend much time on here any more because I...

    Drones?

O man, I look forward to the day I see one of those flying over head while I have a shot gun. But I'll take my two feet and my future shed dog over a drone any day.

    when they hit the ground

I watched a 185"ish hold onto them until about April 10th last year. That's a lot of days of checking on him. Then somebody else still beat me to the set that didn't even know he existed!

    2009 Hoyt Alphamax 32

Looking at buying this bow used. Does anybody have any experience with this bow? Care to give any pro's & Cons?

    Used or New?

Yea, I guess brand new would be ok. I'm just skeptical of used equipment without giving it a thorough check in person.

    Used or New?

Yea, now I'm looking on here, Craigslist & Archerytalk. I'm starting to like the deals I'm finding. I'm in Denver and seems most of the ads are in Utah. So that rules most of these ads out since I can't go see/shoot them. But anyway, I'm definitely thinking used if I can find the right deal...

    Used or New?

I guess it depends. Preferably I would like to spend max $500. But it's starting to look like that might only get me the bow. I was starting to consider used, because it looks like I could get a decent bow, completely setup for 400-500. Or a real good used bow for that price and piece the...

    Used or New?

What would you guys do. My budget is limited, but I want/need a new bow. Would you rather buy a higher end used bow, or a low/mid grade new bow? Any recommendations on new bows that you guys have shot and liked that are not through the roof expensive?

    Boned out meat?

Yea, once I'm to this point, I might just start cutting, grinding and wrapping all my own meat. Next on the list a grinder. After the initial start up, probably save a good chunk of money each year I guess. as always, thank you guys for helping a novice.

    Boned out meat?

Thanks guys. That's pretty much what I was looking for. I figured if I followed lines and got the meat off the bone as whole as possible I'd be good to go. I just wanted to make sure I was not going to ruin all my steaks by doing something stupid. thanks again,

    Boned out meat?

Thanks. I'll see if I can find the video. I didn't know about that site and didn't know David Long was still actively writing articles in one spot. I enjoy reading his stuff. thanks,

    Boned out meat?

I was wondering if anybody has a link or instructions on the proper way to bone out meat? I have only quartered animals and dropped quarters off to the butcher. Are there specific ways that you need to cut so that steaks and everything come out properly? Or do you just go at it, removing meat...

    Timberline bucks?

Good deal. Thanks. I'll start checking out a couple other areas. Also, going to check some cooler places down in the trees. Were they hanging around and bedding up there? Or only there for 30 minutes after sunrise & before sunset?

    Timberline bucks?

Just wondering what you guys have been experiencing for high country deer the past couple weeks? Seems the patterns are a bit different this year. I have spotted lots of does and fork horns above timberline but yet to see any decent bucks up there. For those of you who have been getting...

    Archery Dilema...HELP!

If you don't plan on getting back into archery full time, then I would go with a crossbow. I could see a pure archer not enjoying it, but I think a rifle hunter would. It will take less time to get used to. A bunch of my friends have been getting crossbows in PA. They say it's no archery...

    Pack Out Horses- Winter Park

I posted this question last year and did not get a response, but figured it was worth another try. Does anybody know of anybody or service that can help packout an elk/deer in the Winter Park/Granby area? I will be hunting solo a few miles in and would like to have an option if I am physically...
