So, I heard rumor that there was discussion in a recent Elko CAB meeting about passing a law requiring a shed hunting license and fees for selling commercially. Furthermore, there would be a season. Can anyone with more insight tell me if this is actually true? Thanks, Tony

I had the PIW tag a couple years ago and hunted the heck out of this unit. I hope to get it again in 3-4 years. It holds some great bucks that will stay high unless deep snow pushes them down. Hunt high and away from the roads and quad trails.

There are some great deer in this unit. As mentioned early snow is a huge help as they tend to stay up in the thick timber until pushed down. Do some early season scouting and try to find a couple bucks just in case the snow does not come. This is a buck I found two years ago still hanging out...

+1 on the Storm Kloth jacket I have. Needs a layer or two under it, but it insulates very well and is waterproof. Can't hike in it at all though or I am dripping!

I have a question. I just did some elk I had in the freezer. I added no liquid, but the water in the cooker was brown when finished. I guess some of the juice escaped during cooking. The bottles still sealed, but only had liquid to the half way mark. Should I have tightened the lid more??

Finally drew my resident Nelson in unit 268. Being over 8 hours from Sparks my scouting will be limited to a few trips. Any help on a once in a lifetime tag would be greatly appreciated. I have info to trade on northern deer units. I had a PIW tag last year and hunted alot of northern NV.
