I have a SS Omega with laminate stock.Has anybody ever used the thumbhole stock and what are your opinions of it.I have not shot mine much but it shoots well with 245 gr powerbelts.Thought I woud try the thumbhole and a low power scope.

Is there a good article on scope mounting ? The way I mount a scope is putting some shim stock under the bases as I tighten and keep light pressure on the shim so that I know they are as level as possible.Then as I tighten the rings I keep alternating tightening the screws front to back.
