Talked to the forest service and they said the unit should be open by the middle of July.

If you don't wanna be around people colorado isn't the place for you. There's a ton of hunters in every unit around here.and the whole concept of packing 8 Miles into the middle of no where and not seeing anyone is slowly becoming obsolete.

How's this area for archery deer I guess if the early season rifle is good the archery should be good and I don't believe it takes that many points. .

There an app called draw odds u can get that works great and easy to use.

What about a 4th season unit 44 hunt I think that's around 12 or 13 pts but alot of nice bucks that time of year in that unit.

I'm a truck driver on the I 70 corridor on a daily basis and if we have to have them then so should the public. Cars cause more problems in the Winter then anyone up there.

Ya I understand I won't have it to myself but even here In Colorado I can get away and maybe only see 1 or 2 people all week. So there's no points so that means I can put in for any area and it's just luck of the draw?

We have great dates for archery elk here Aug 30 to September 29th. Are the deer tags just as jacked up as the elk in Utah or can a guy actually pull a good hunt in the general areas?

tenzing makes a great pack I have the 6000 but 5000 would work well for your torso length.
