Kaibab archery tag. Can't believe it took this long to get the pending charge on the CC? I talked to other NRs last Saturday with pending charges fro the same tag.

I've mailed camp to remote Alaska twice...both times in boxes, not crates, and used USPS both times with no issues. Suggest shipping a month in advance if shipping Parcel Post or two weeks in advance for Priority Mail. Expected delivery dates will be shorter, but better safe than sorry IMO...

As has already been mentioned, bubbles in the blood doesn't necessarily mean lungs. The fact the bull refused to climb is a good sign. You did the right thing by backing out. Hopefully you will find him today...laying dead in his 1st bed. Best of luck!

I'm not buying. I applied for the same season dates and same weapon across the board. My hunt codes are sequential (lowest to highest)...but hunt choices are not (3,1,2). If both my hunt codes and hunt choices would have been out of order....that might have made me a believer.

Your odds of drawing 39 as a NR with 6 points are hit and miss. Only one NR drew 39 last year with 6 points and that was in the special draw. If you want to bowhunt this year, take TOPGUN's advice and look at a 40-9 tag. Decent shot at a tag in the regular draw and very good odds in the...

Hey Ike. I'm no expert on field judging moose either. Read online the distance between the eyes on a bull moose is 10". If accurate, the spread/eye ratio in that photo indicates low-mid 30's. Saw my best bull on 10/5 in 2013. That's today....good luck! Paul

I just taped my bull out at 330" gross....and the one in the photo has better 3rds and splits. I'm going to say that bull is at least 340" gross....maybe closer to 350"?

Hunted Area 5 in 2013. Saw some mild rutting activity in late September. Killed my bull on October 3rd...but still don't believe the rut was anywhere near "peak" yet. Thinking I was done about a week early?
