...routine meals on the circuit last night -- a well apportioned homemade pizza with 4 slices geared to my taste & 4 slices for Ellen. It tasted really good with the vino, too.

You cook well OW. I watch Meateater and they were cooking whitetail flank into a meal called Rouladen. It has bacon,jalapeños, onions and mustard. Seared over coals then into a Dutch Oven for 6 hours. Have you ever made something like that ?
It is a German recipe that was adapted to southern fare.

Never tried it, but it sounds good. I haven't eaten or cooked any wild game for years now.
