How should I cook a Tomahawk?

I received a good sized Wagyu Tomahawk steak. I don’t have access to a Bbq. What is the best way to cook it?

I would cut it off the bone, sear it in a skillet, and finish it in the oven. Use a meat thermometer for the temp you prefer. It will be great. There are plenty of YouTube videos if you’re unsure.

Season with salt, pepper, garlic. Grab your best pan available, add some butter and sear all sides the best you can. Finish off in oven to 125°f. Add a tab of butter to the top of the steak and rest for 10-15 minutes ish if you can wait that long.

Wagyu is one cut of beef that benefits from a little warmer internal temp. I love rare steaks and roasts, but like the inner marbling in wagyu to melt a little more. Really flavorful!! I would pull at 125 for a rare, but would probably go 130-132 on a thick cut of wagyu. Still pink and juicy!! A little crushed rosemary and thyme in the butter is a unique taste also
