Do you think they have it in a money market earning 1% or in a CD earning 2% ?

By the way I got my refunds weeks ago.

NMPaul, not sure, but i guarantee that they do that. Hold them as long as possible to make as much extra money as possible. Our Game and Fish Department is horrible. I have seen no habitat improvement in any of the areas I hunt, and those area are supposed to be high quality areas. I still have only seen one warden in the field in fifteen years. People out there breaking laws left and right and they are no where to be found....

NM state law prohibits G&F from collecting interest on tag money.

While I like the idea that NM isn't raping us for interest, you have to admit that it is a waste of funds that could be used for wildlife. I have no objection to NM drawing interest so long as they don't try to hold our money more than is necessary.
