Yeah....I could cruise down Highway 44 in NW NM in that truck and get those NM highway crews working double time when they saw me coming.....ha ha! My uncle ended up with it and still has it...nice truck but a bit light and squirrelly on really muddy roads even with 4 wheel drive.

Here's a couple of 1979 bucks from SW Colorado my brother and I shot....he got the big boy with all the eyeguards... And here's 1980 buck from same area......188-3/8 gross. Not the biggest I shot at that year.....dang it!

Hopefully this week and my gross total score for these two bulls is 815-4/8.

Seems to me that IF you really want to kill a big bull, you need to set the standard you will be happy with whether its the first day or last. And if the bulls that come in don't measure up, you pass 'em and be glad for the time you got to get up close and personal. Change the standard really...

Stay the course. It is worth it and you will be able to marshall plenty of help and other resources to do the hunt justice. And if New Mexicans were like Texans, you could just take the tack that the San Juan was just another NM state park its so close.....LOL!!

He can't be very old, cause he didn't do a very good job brushing. And he must've had a neglectful set of parents too, letting him get away with no brushing or flossing and then allowing him go "play in the street" and get shot up. Poor kid never had a chance!
