Congrats on the tag. I drew a rifle tag a few years ago. we killed a couple good bulls. Try Whitman bench. Bluefly creek and Kanab Creek. Good luck and keep us posted.

I used one a few yrs back. We took some scouts on a 50 mile back pack trip from Mirror Lake to Moon Lake. We used it at camp every night. Worked great. No one got ill, the trip was a blast.

I have used them as well. I shot and elk last year and the results were awesome. I whacked a coyote this year with one. Of course yotes are not really something to put a broadhead of any kind to the test, but it worked great. I will use them in the future.

During the week I have had some great rides from Tibble Fork in American Fork Canyon. You can ride over to Cascade springs. On the weekend its kind of crazy, lots of people. It's close to Salt Lake though.

There is an article in todays SL Tribune that states CWD was found in a cow elk from the La Sal unit by Moab.

I smacked a bull on the Pauns last year that was simular. It even had an extra point growing out of the skull behind the antler that grew from its forehead. Its an awesome pedistal mount. If I can get a web ready photo I will send it. Congrats on a successful hunt.

I have used the call mentioned earlier by Eastmans with some success. It is great for stopping deer. I have called in lots of does and smaller bucks. There is a simular elk call made the same way that makes great cow calls. That one works too.
