    2020 Bull

I didn't really show many people this bull. Here is my officially scored gross 373 general season 2020 rifle bull. I thought with the droptine it was worth sharing and maybe get some guys dreaming of the season to come. Is case of the questions, public land, unguided just got lucky.

    Max points Wyoming NR

It's worth it in every way. Around Cody guys love elk hunting. Most times they are happier than the hunter to score on big bulls. My friends 54. Many bigger bulls around than that one.

    Max points Wyoming NR

The late season hunts around Cody can be hard. Some impossible without a guide, but produce exceptional bulls. If you are prepared to be cold and be patient you can very likely go home with a 360 or better. I live in Cody and have seen first hand many incredible bulls taken on the late hunts...

    NW Wyoming 2018 Prospects

RE: NW Wyoming 2018 I can tell you that most outfitters around Cody do not submit any numbers to the big game awards. Plenty of giant animals killed last year by private hunters and outfitters. The antelope total numbers are down but it still hasn't been that hard to find 80 inch bucks around Cody.

    2018 Grizzly season proposal

I now live in Wyoming and honestly I wish we had left the new bear tags here to residents for at least the first year also. I fully realize if seonene not living in the state got the 1 bear tag issued that would cause a pretty major outcry. More of sticker shock when when my license number was...

    2018 Grizzly season proposal

Ya, you are right they could claim that. As long as I have had that license there has never been any gray areas or exemptions.

    2018 Grizzly season proposal

Lifetime license holders fall in the resident pool for applications and are not part of the cap if the 10% quota is met. The only difference in a resident that currently residides in Idaho and a liftime license holder that doesn't is the price we pay. One of the perks of buying a liftime license...

    2018 Grizzly season proposal

They also excluded guys with lifetime licenses like myself from applying if they no longer live in Idaho. Extremely unhappy about this. Every other hunt I count as a resident just pay non res prices.

    Trophy Species

I avoid the fee by having a relative go in to a sales agent and apply for me.

    Airplane Travel with BH 209?

Airline would not let me fly with any powder, caps, or bullets. They said you are not allowed to fly with components but fully assembled ammo is fine. ATF,TSA and the state police were called in on this. Lucky I got to the airport like 2 hours early. Since the Triple Seven set off the swab alarm...

    Idaho Sheep Help

LAST EDITED ON Jul-29-11 AT 03:38PM (MST)[p]If you are a lifetime certificate holder you stay in the Resident draw pool. I left the state, and now claim non residency, I drew a goat tag this year and paid the non res price. When I checked the successful pool all tags were drawn by residents. I...

game and fish got one thing right

I have one and they email me a form every year to confirm all my information is correct, then maybe two weeks later they mail me the license. While I lived in Idaho they did this and now that I moved to Oregon they still just mail it to me. I have mine for 2010 and it showed up in the mail.

game and fish got one thing right

Yes you have to be a resident when you buy it, but if you move out of the state they just mail you your hunting license every year. I think that you also stay in the resident draw pool even if you leave the state. If someone knows better than I do sorry if I am mistaken.

    Not much of a punishment

Losing hunting privileges is not a punishment to a poacher they don't follow the rules anyway.

    Kimber 8400 270 WSM

I have shot one in .26-06 and it shot great. I know its not the 270wsm but the rifle felt good and shot good groups. The one I shot had a VX-3 4.5-14x40 AO with a custom made reticle for his bullet. The rifle could easily hit hit targets on the last dot which was 600 yards.

    Idaho poachers busted

I agree, I wish the punishment would have been more strict. That fine is definitely not high enough.

    Monster Whitetails & Late-Season Roosters...

Man those pictures look incredible and they look like you guys had an awesome time. Congratulations on those big bucks. Is that rifle in the first picture a Weatherby Ultralight weight on a black stock, I really like the look of it.

300" Non Typical Hits the dirt Jicarilla style

The Mundy buck has a 246 gross frame and that is the biggest in the books. I would also like to see a picture of a another buck with a 240 frame.
