I had a long, interesting conversation with the DWR on the mountain Sunday. One of the things I learned was they will be conducting fly counts of deer and elk begining soon depending on weather. I will have an eye on the sky. I know Nebo and Manti are on the list. I'd say good news!

I put this in the general as well. Had some guys from Utah looking for it, here it is. His 2nd bird, This ones a hanger .... He missed this bird twice last Friay with his bow. Called it in again this morning.....Nailed it.....

Well, this is his 2nd Utah turkey. This ones a really good one, HUGE body! 1 1/8" spurs, 8" beard. It took us a week to seal the deal, It was SO MUCH FUN! The kid was so pumped up/excited for this !...He's hooked!

The DWR put this out, 2011s estimated hunters on each unit and season.. + the current buck to doe ratios that will be used to set permit numbers this year................. This will help give an idea how many permits will be issued. Here's the link...

Time to start planing turkey hunts,,My 14 year old drew this year. He's already harvested 2 Tom's with a shogun,,, Tried hard last year with his bow on the general hunt. Went empty.. Here are the deer units with the objective herd size and the DWRs 2010 post computer model estimates......... This will give everyone one a look at what objectives are set at versus deer numbers that should have been on each unit during the 2011 season. I'm curious to hear what hunters think...

I got pictures of a group of bulls Friday (4-2)with a little of everything,,,,,,,Three were still pack'in both sides. One had just dropped 1 side... And 5 bulls were starting to grow their 2010 racks back.. Enjoy the pictures and good luck to all in the upcoming draw!

Just had a fantastic hunt on Parker, Missed a couple that will keep my trying, my kids saw the whole thing both times. Here's the one I harvested in 05, Only 1.5 inches difference. Can't wait till the kids are old enough to do it.
