Thanks for nice comments. I also agree that there is a great buck in every unit at least a 80" or better. We passed up dozens and dozens of bucks day after day. Some that I even thought later that I should have taken. Waiting paid off big time and a little luck always helps. Hope to do it again...

Smitty, here are a few we took out of 100 last year. Hunted off and on for 8 days before I found the buck of a lifetime for me. I would be glad to share any info that would help you. My son's 15" My 17" buck, I've hunted a lot of years before I found one like this.

Sweet buck. I took a 84" buck this year my best ever. In fact my best buck was around 77. This buck is unreal, congrats to all involved.

FamilyMan spending time with kids outdoors is always a blast. I have a granddaughter and grandson that where born three weeks apart. Can't wait tell they can tag along on the trips.

It is always fun hunting with my sons, thanks for comments Founder. map1 no trespass fees all public land. Not one of the top hard to draw units. Takes about 5 points to get. SMOKESTICK Unless I missed it somewhere in the previous posts. Was there any mention of raising prices on non resident youth. If so do you remember what the proposed amount is. I have max points on Deer and Pronghorn. My boy has max for Proghorn and Elk. I may try to use my points before price...

Hunt the last 5 days of the season. You will start to see more and hopefully bigger bucks as the rut getting close. Good Luck!!

It would only be a guess on my part but would say under or thru the strands. I'm sure someone can answer your ? But FYI Pronghorn will and do jump fences. Have seen it many times in Wyoming and South Dakota.

Very nice buck you should be proud... Were you hunting East or West river..I grew up in Haakon County killed some nice bucks along the Bad River and Cheneyne River area. Sure wish I was back there hunting.
