A couple of recycled pics to mark my local bird migrations. The greenback swallows showed on 4/19 this year, and the first hummingbird stopped by yesterday 4/20. Summer’s coming

The crazy cheatgrass arguments reminded me of this. The little guy is getting a lesson on the dangers of cheatgrass which is well represented in the photo. As is field bindweed

Hey Blue, have you ever had one of those yard birds come after you?

Nope, but they gobble if you slam a door or cough. I honestly worry more about getting run over by a deer or stabbed in the eye by a hummingbird.

I once watched my mother in law wait 10 minutes for them to get out of the driveway. She didn’t realize it was like getting behind a cattle drive and they ain’t getting out of the way.
