    Antelope Cape Value

What is a good antelope buck cape worth? Caped out my mature buck from this fall with the thought of getting him mounted....decided to do a Euro instead. I have the cape rolled and frozen.

    NV Muzzy Buck

After eight great days of hunting, I decided to close the deal on this old buck. Bedded him from about a quarter mile away and was able to sneak right in on him. I got him up and his "stop and look" stance at 140 yards did him in with a single shot. This photo shows his 6 inch kicker off...

    Bobcat Pair

Already posted these in the Taxidermy forum, but thought the cat enthusiasts that visit this thread might enjoy them as well. Here is a male and female my parents just had done.

    Bobcat Pair

Hear are a male and female pair of bobcats my parents recently had done. They are placed high on a ledge in the room, so getting decent photos was tought, but the taxidermist did a great job.

    Another Nevada Landowner Tag

My family has one northern Nevada unit 051 Landowner tag for sale or trade. The tags have sold in the past for $3,000 to $5,000 a piece. You guys know the drill, archery, muzzy, early, or late rifle. The area has been improving of late and a 180+ muley is a reasonable goal if you are willing...

    Goat Mount

Got my Mountain Goat back from the taxidermist and finally got him up on the wall. Moving mounts around is a pain!

    Nevada Billy

I have wanted to post some pictures of my September Nevada goat hunt for a while and am finally getting around to it. I feel very fortunate to have drawn one of these rare tags. We packed into the East Humbolt Range days after a large early-season snow storm. We saw 11 billies the first day...

    Congrats WOLF PACK!

Since this is the "Nevada" thread, it's only fitting that there is a post congratulating the Pack on their biggest victory in school history. Great job Pack , what a game!

    True Timber Absolute Jacket

I recently picked this jacket up from Cabela's. It sounded good in the catalog but they didn't have it in the store since it was a new item, so i had them order it in for me to see if I wanted it, rather than buy it unseen. It didn't take me long after trying it on to realize I was buying it...

    Springfield XDM 40 cal.

I have had a Smith and Wesson model 410 40 cal. for alot of years and am looking to upgrade. One gun I have my eye on is the Springfield XDM. Anybody have one of these? What are you thoughts? Also considering the Glock and Beretta PX4 Storm.

    NV Muley

Killed this buck in northern NV on a solo rifle hunt. No monster but decent none the less. Spotted him from about a half mile away throught the spotting scope and only was able to look at him for about a minute in heat waves before he bedded in brush and boulders at the base of a 150 foot...

    Sheep Horn Attachment

Do any of you have any experience with resecuring sheep horn sheaths back to the skull after boiling? I am about to reattach the sheaths and am thinking that simple epoxy will do the trick just fine but wanted some tips from those of you that have experience with ram skulls. Thanks.

    Sports Illustrated Article

There is a pretty interesting article in this week's Sports Illustrated titled "A More Dangerous Game" that takes a pretty interesting look at the decrease of hunting in this country and it's effect on game. Obviously, this seems to be more of a problem in the east where whitetails are running...

    Nevada CA Bighorn

    AZ Governor's Tag Bull

Got an email with a pic of a 422" bull in the velvet that was supposedly killed in AZ recently. Has that been posted yet? I'm not really one for posting other people's hunting photos that get sent to me. Not even sure if it is this year's bull or someone blowing smoke but my guess is that it...

    Wolves Protected Again!!??

Just saw the headline. This should get a few people on here fired up. Sit back, strap in, and hold on, this should be one hell of a ride. And I thought I might be wolf hunting this fall........ http://www.idahostatesman.com/eyepiece/story/446338.html

    Powerbelts a go in ID

Looks like under the new rule adaptations, Powerbelt bullets are not considered a sabotted round and will be legal for muzzy hunts in ID. So, basically the only long term changes that have come out of all the hoopla is you need loose powder and an exposed cap. Everything else is pretty much...

    IDFG to Feed Deer

Looks like due to the deep snow and tough conditions between Banks and Lowman that IDFG is going to start feeding the deer there. The average snow depth in this critical winter range is 20 to 25" but currently there is over 40" so its time to help them out.

Do you take the heart and liver??

Right now there is a cute little discussion going on in the Elk forum about the proper way to field dress an elk. Within that discussion I was reminded of an old argument I had with a buddy about how many hunters actually take an animals heart and liver. His argument, less than 10%. My...

    Beretta Shotgun

Does anyone know if there is anywhere you can get aftermarket stocks for a Beretta AL390 Sport 12ga.? I am not happy with the thick butt on this gun as it prevents me from getting down on my sites. If I can't find an aftermarket stock, then I have a barely used 12 guage Beretta AL390 sport for...

    Patriot Gun Safes??

Any of you guys have any experience with Patriot gun safes? I have been looking at safes online after not being too happy with the local selection. The safes look to be pretty good but I was wanting some feedback from anybody that has dealt with the company. Any info, please post.

    Nevada Rams, Post Your Heads

I just started a post in the mule deer forum and though I would throw up a similar one in the sheep forum. If you've killed a sheep and have it mounted, throw up a pick with a little info on when and where you killed it and what it scored. Makes for a great post to be able to look at everyones...

Big Nevada Mule Deer, Post Your Heads

I noticed that the recent post asking for shoulder mount suggestions got a lot of responses but as I looked at all the nice bucks I was bummed that most didn't have any info with them. So anyway, I was home for Thanksgiving and since I don't have any nice bucks on my wall yet, I thought I would...

    Nevada Rifle Bull

Spent last week on my Nevada rifle elk hunt. It was an emotional roller coaster but ended up being a lot of fun. We spent two and a half days watching a beatiful six point that we ended up going after on opening morning. We knew the bull's daily feeding pattern and exactly where he would be...

    Southwest Idaho Taxidermist Recomendation

I have a NV bull elk tag that starts next week. I have had all my past taxidermy work done in Nevada but now live in Meridian and am looking for a good southwest Idaho taxidermist to do an elk shoulder mount (if I kill one!). Any recomendations?

    7mm 160 gr. Nosler Accubond

I'm going to give these bullets a try on my Nevada elk hunt this year. Never used them before but have heard nothing but good things. Anyone have much hunting experience with them?

    What does he score?

New to the message board, thought I would throw a picture out there to get some score guesses. To my knowledge, this bull was not harvested but I saw him repeatedly
