Was told last night that mandatory check has been required for bears in Region 1 for forty years. Though I don't shoot a lot of bears I don't ever remember having to check them. Am I getting old or is this a new requirement starting two or three years ago??

Spoke w/ region 1 commisioner today regarding a super tag drawing, where each hunter/trapper to take a wolf would be entered into a seperate super tag drawing. How many of you would make an extra effort to take a wolf if the state would put up a 1 in 50 chance at a super tag?
