Can anybody suggest an elk outfitter in general areas? I prefer archery with a possible rifle season follow up. I'm in neighboring Nebraska so my preference would be the eastern part of the state and private over public too! Thanks for any help. Sukie

5BS archery bull here. How do they let you know if you drew?

You go into the next draw with 2 pts as you said. You keep the loyalty point as long as you keep applying without interuption. So don't screw up you application as some have done, it's a costly mistake(1 loyalty + 1 bonus point).

I got lucky and drew in '08 before the spike hunts took effect. I am a NR and hired an outfitter, best thing I ever did as it all looks "elky". I have talked to my outfitter since and says the unit has gone down hill fast! I shot this bull on the 7th day of hunting with very sporadic bugling...

I archery hunted the unit as a NR last year. Pics of the bull are in the latest Huntin' Fool magazine(The Bucket List Bull). The bull I took wasn't the biggest I saw. Sukie
