A few years ago I bought a Leupold Wind River 15x45 spotting scope. Now I see they make the Sequoia and it looks exactly the same and the specs are the same. The Sequoia is about $130 more now a days though. Does anyone know if these are basically the same scope with just a name change? Also...

I buddy of mine has $1000-$1500 to spend on a new rifle. He asked me what rifle he should buy. I don't really know. I told him maybe a Kimber. He is set on a 7mm. What do you guys think. Also, anyone who has shot a new Savage, he is interested in that too.

Just curious as to how many guys would feel comfortable with a 44mag in bear country? I know a shotgun would be better, but who wants to pack that? Basically who feels a 44 is enough?
