Unit 30 colorado early saturday morning.It was supposedly securely fastened in a gun boot on the back of my rhino.I left at the end of 16 rd. and headed up Lapham road to the top by the burn.Got out to go hunting ,and no rifle.I headed straight back down to 16 rd by big metal fence at the end...

Did not see the snake photo,but did it have a tire track thru the middle of it? Was the elk photos taken on the morning of july 2nd? Hope that waterhole don't dry up this year out there.

Cody,the good old days on the Peaks are sadly over.It has been poorly managed the past few years.The dwr needs stop the cow hunts.There is no way this unit is over management objective any more.

How about let the state parks raffle off all the tags? Maybe $5 a chance,and buy as many as you want.All proceeds go to the park service to operate the island.Only people who draw tags from raffle allowed to hunt.

Thanks BMA for the over veiw of the unit.That's what I was looking for.Don't expect to much from Ore.after 50 yrs. of hunting here,but figured I better use points why I was still able.Good luck with you're hunts this year.

Does anyone have knowledge of this unit? I see where alot of this unit is private.Will I need private ground to get at the best bucks? Going over for scouting trip shortly,anyone know who local biologist or game warden is? It took 13 pf points so will be doing some leg work.

I beleive in Oregon you can float private, but can not stand on the land under the water. You can not walk on private property with out permission.
