I also have a set and love them. You can hand hold them but I also agree if your glassing seriously picking apart the country with any bino you will need a tripod.

If I could only have one of the optics it would be the 15x56 without any doubt I use them 80% of the time or more. But good thing I get to bring them all, because they all have there uses.

From Arizona so you tend to learn to hunt with any weapon. Because you can't draw to many rifle tags. I put in 4 states and usually draw 1 tag. I will put in for rifle, bow and muzzleloader tags.

I have used ASAT camo for over 10 years still my favorite in just about any area. there are other very good patterns that I also use but ASAT is still my favorite.

Leica Swarovski and Zeiss all exceptional glass the 10x40 Zeiss classics are a good buy. I am a Leica fan and currently use the duovid 10/15x50. I have owned all of the above and honestly there all excellent. Try them out at a store and find the one that fits your hands and eyes best.

I have had both and between the two Minox or Doctor the Doctor are much better optically the Minox are less weight and easier to pack but the optics are not up to the Doctors. The resale value is better on the Doctors also. Good luck on your pick ps steiners would not even be one of my choices.
