I just purchased a pair of Swarovski EL 12x50. I did the side by side comparison and in MY opinion for what its worth the Swaros are better glass. I wanted to buy top shelf glass and did. Is it 1,500 dollars better glass. Hard to say. You get what you pay for.

OTC tags are pretty good for elk. Dont see too many deer but I hunt the eastside of the state for archery elk. Starkey, Desolation units are pretty good. Even with a blank canvass you can get into elk probably everyday you hunt.

I would go with the 530HCX or if you want to skimp a few bucks the 520HCX. Make sure whichever model you choose its an "HCX". If you hunt with friends try to convince them to buy one as well. You wont regret it. I orginally had a Rino 120, the newer model has a MUCH greater range and worth...

Hey I pulled one out of the Desolation Unit. It took a couple of days to figure out the elk, but once we got into them I gotter done.

I think you can get them from Cabelas. My Big Horn 3 came with a patch kit.

Dont know which one, but I've been thinking of building one myself. Think I can do it for 40 bucks, compared to the 180 bucks for a mid line stove.

I use the Cabelas Revolution Dry Plus. Great stuff and worth the money. I lost my pullover last year at the cost of 90 bucks to replace, along with my elk bugle. The pants Ive had for four seasons and they are still holding up strong.

420 grain arrow 270fps and about 70lb ke. Plenty.

I bought a cheap 60 pack from Cabelas, Camelpak Striker. I sling it over my bullpac and when I get to my hunting area I stash it in the woods, and hunt with my daypack. I archery hunt so the bullpac is too big to shoot with it on.

I've been looking at the 104 but for archery it seems too big.

I dont see all of they hype with them. I fletched 6 arrows with 4 inch vanes, and 6 with the 2 inch blasers. I thought the 4 inch vanes performed better with tighter groups. Thats shooting a broadhead.

I have the Leupold 4-14, and was thinking about jumping up. to a 6-18. For the long shots I think it helps to get a better sight picture. If your used to the 3 by 9 then you definetly like the 4-14, but once you get used to that you might want more.
